Jamie McBride, head of the Los Angeles Police Protective League, called Mayor Garcetti mentally unstable for calling police “killers” and defunding the LAPD. He doubles down on this statement, saying Garcetti “has failed the leadership test.” He says Black Lives Matter is an “anti-police hate group” and “a modern-day Black Panthers organization.”  And, contrary to popular belief, he says “the black community in South Central loves the LAPD. They want us there. It is a small portion that is complaining.”
