The Gay Agenda meets the Gender agenda!
It was a bumper tow hour extravaganza edition of Hide and Seek this week, as we teamed up with The Gender Agenda – another stellar program on JOY 94.9 which airs Wednesaday nights at 8pm, the hour before us! Sitting across the studio for so long, and intersections in our areas of interest, we thought why not get together for a Gender Agenda x Hide and Seek crossover/event/gang bang?
We went back to back to deliver this two hour radio event special, and we’re bringing you BOTH shows this week, hows that for some sextra content?
The Gender Agenda is presented each week by Rebeckah, Miranda, & Rowan – and we’re ‘dom’ guests on their show with Rebeckah, Miranda this week.
In this, this first hour of our Gender Agenda crossover event “Sweet and Gender Romance” we discuss dating as a trans or gender diverse person, and dating trans and gender diverse people as a cis person. Part one includes touching on visibility and disclosure, dating while ‘stealth’ and the potential violence faced by trans folk when coming out, especially to partners.
Rebeckah, Miranda, Michael, and Tim talk about apps and app etiquette – and our favourite ways to connect with and as trans folk online. this also leads us to unpack some useful (and not so useful) definitions when talkin’ trans.
