After a vaccination mishap at six weeks old left Lorrin Kain severely brain injured, Karen’s life was turned upside down. Though being burdened with an existence fraught with uncontrollable seizures, the inability to walk, talk and eat naturally, Lorrin never complained. Instead she used this broken vessel of a body to come to earth and teach many individuals the virtues of life and of love, including her own mother. And it was the incredible wisdom of Karen who chose to see the crystal in the crisis that was Lorrin’s life.This is a story that no parent – and frankly no human should miss. In this truly inspiring conversation, we discussed the horrendous assault of the vaccination program on millions of families and the unfair treatment of parents who have had vaccine injured children. We talked about the incredible and almost angelic quality that Lorrin exuded and how she touched so many with her gentle presence and wise spirit while on this earth and how to this day some five years after Lorrin’s passing in 2009 she continues to touch so many by making her presence known including through dreams.

She is a highly respected parent advocate for special needs families and has written an empowering book about raising her medically fragile, vaccine injured daughter who was in a wheel chair for fifteen years. Her message is inspiring and resonates deeply in the hearts of everyone who benefits from hearing her story. Karen touches upon what it was like raising a ‘unique’ child, their victories, challenges and sorrows, the tools and lessons she learned, sharing her experiences with the world and especially, being a beacon of light for special needs families. Her personal life story about how she surrendered and embraced her life’s journey is filled with purpose and inspiration.Currently Karen travels around the US speaking at The Abilities Expo, Autism One Conferences, health conferences, schools, and hospitals. She spends her time inspiring families, teachers, and caregivers with the beauty and importance of each soul, no matter their ability.
