The Psalmist spoke well when he described followers of Christ as being "like sheep." And yes, it feels degrading to be described as "sheep," but, here’s the reality: we tend to go astray, we follow others over a cliff, we are vulnerable to wolves, and we don’t do a great job of feeding ourselves. In short we need a shepherd. Well the Good news is Jesus promised to not leave us as orphans to care for ourselves.
