Run DMC is one of the most iconic groups of all time. They are responsible for many first, most I will leave for your listen, but the entire style of hip hop from the late 80's to today. Before this group most rappers were wearing mostly "disco" attire or silk shirts and jheri curls. Run DMC was also the first hip hop act to have a video played on MTV. Run DMC has hit after hit after hit, from It's Tricky, Walk This Way, My Adidas and many many more you've heard and probably don't know. All three members were impactful off the mic too. Jam Master Jay introduced us to Onyx and 50 Cent. Run had a reality show about his family who have gone on to be impactful as well. DMC has helped millions with depression and has a series with Nickelodeon and a children's Amazon store that does very well.
