The Golf Course was designed in 2004, by the famous #golfarchitect #tomdoak and traverses the cliffs some 500 feet above the South Pacific Ocean, needless to say, the views are absolutely breath taking and #capekidnappers is a must visit #bucketlist #golfcourse for all serious golfers! According to Newzealand.com the Cape Kidnappers Golf Course is only the 2nd biggest attraction on the cliffs overlooking the Hawke’s bay- after the World’s largest land Gannet Colony which is also worth a visit! https://www.newzealand.com/int/feature/cape-kidnappers/. The name itself Cape Kidnappers refers to Captain Cook’s encounter with some of the locals and the Te Reo Maori name: Te Kauwae-a-Māui means the "The Fish Hook of Maui”
