In this week's edition of Homespun Yak, Nic comes in roaring hot fueled by constant mental mobility, project deadlines, and caffeinated tea! The conversation begins by discussing the spread of the Coronavirus into North Carolina (breaking news), how long the virus can lie dormant in your system (2 weeks!) before expressing itself with violent flu like/respiratory symptoms, and what Nic would do if someone directly infected him.

Kyle then gives us a brief overview on the Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic taking place in Columbus, OH this weekend. Powerlifters, strongmen, bodybuilders and just overall record-breaking athletes flock to this competition to showcase their ever-increasing, mind boggling feats of strength. Nic then gives a detailed explanation of the "athlete's paradox", which leads to a conversation on Dr. George Sheehan's classic book, "Running and Being." Not only can this work inspire all types of people to run harder and further than they thought physically possible for themselves, but gives a keen insight on how running can change your mental and spiritual well being for the better. A highly recommended read for all that are majorly or slightly intrigued by the idea of running long distances.
