The Thing - 1951 - a podcast by Elicia & Gen

Happy New Year Horror Fam! We're kicking off 2021 with a wintery classic, "The Thing From Another World" from 1951. Even though it's pretty slow, and not very scary for our time, it definitely inspired John Carpenter to take a swing at it and boy did he! This is the blueprint for, in my (Gen's) opinion, one of the scariest horror movie to come out of the 80s. 
If you're not into classic films, this may not be your cup of tea, the pacing is definitely hard to get into. But again, it's a classic and we had to watch for the sake of the Pod! 
Next week, obviously, we will be reviewing The Thing (1981) and that should be a great show! 
Fun Fact:  Elicia has never seen any of these, so that's pretty exciting, I'm pretty excited to get her take on 1981!
