Finally! I was able to sit down and get into chapter one of the first letter to Timothy from Paul. I have to say that last night I was up till about 3 am thinking about this stuff.

What did I learn?

I learned that there is a Grace, filled with love and faith, that was given to us when Christ came down. The same grace that Paul felt to be "exceeding and abundant" when Jesus saved him. Though in chapter one Paul seems to be laying the groundwork for what he is about to say in the next chapters, one thing is certain, he writes this letter with sincere love and faith that not only speaks to Timothy, but because of how infinite the love and faith of our God is, it transcends time, giving us direct access to tap into that very same Grace, here and now! Thank you, Jesus!

How can I apply it?

Paul does drop some nuggets of how we can tap into this flow of Grace, which is the same love and faith that is in Christ Jesus. I think recognizing that it is the same love and faith in Christ is key. No knockoffs here! He teaches us to guard ourselves against those that aren't teaching us correctly about the grace that has been given to us. We are learning from whom we surround ourselves with. I am paying attention to whom I am following on social media, the people in my circles,  and doing my best to stay drama-free. Let's take it a step further: what kind of patterns are we setting for our children to follow? The purpose in my thoughts has to be love in any circumstance, which creates this pattern of thinking and being. Thus, tapping into that flow, so I can in good conscience, "fight the good fight."

What did God speak to me?

God's love is infinite. His grace knows no limit. The fact that I can read it in this letter now

proves what Paul was saying is true in 1 Tim 1:16, "However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life." We can tap into and hold onto that same grace, that love and faith Christ has in us, so He can show the world through us the utmost patience, making us examples, proving His love and faithfulness in us to anyone who would come to know Christ for eternity.

I really enjoyed reading this chapter and hope you enjoy it too. If it helps and you enjoy it, tell a friend. Check us out on social media via the links below and give us a like, follow, and subscribe to stay up to date with what is happening next. Take care everyone and God bless you all.
