In declaring Yeshua as the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, John the baptist teased by revelation, YeHoVaH’s sacrificial purpose for his Son - to be our sin offering, our atonement which he chose to fulfil on Passover.
Unlike the lambs that the people and the priests chose for themselves and the nation, YeHoVaH’s lamb, if claimed has the capability to cleanse one from their sins once and for all.
In order to obtain the promised permanent remission of sins by YeHoVaH’s lamb, it’s necessary to replicate his life, in order for the resurrection the gospels are a witness of, to be obtained in this life and in the life to come.
