Ryan Green is co-founder and CEO of Gridwise, a mobile app powered by gig mobility analytics to help rideshare and delivery drivers solve a huge problem – knowing when and where to go, to make the most money. Gridwise is helping drivers earn up to 39% more per hour. He’s advanced that into a second platform called Gridwise Analytics, where every month millions of anonymized trip and earnings records from platforms like Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Grubhub, Instacart, Amazon Flex and countless others are ingested and converted into meaningful analytics. This gig mobility data is invaluable for every industry.

Some examples of the insights for urban investors include rideshare and delivery programs can see how other companies are routing trips and allocating resources. EV charging platform providers can optimize for the best locations for EV chargers, and retail investors can determine popular rideshare destinations and routes to select the best locations for new stores. Until now, this ground truth data has only been accessible to the app companies themselves. The data is gathered from 250,000 drivers, 25+ apps, $2.5 billion in earnings, and 750 million miles.

Mike and Ryan cover a ton of great stuff in the episode like being an excited kid watching his dad on sales calls, arriving at the Naval Academy campus in Annapolis to play football, running a side hustle while he was an active duty military office in flight school, being intrigued about the launch of UBER and deciding to be an UBER driver to understand how it worked, joining a startup accelerator to get initial investment to start his own software company and much more.

And now here’s Ryan Green.
