What’s it like to be a super star athlete?

What did the parents do to have such a stand out athlete?

At 10 years old Ryan Jones had spent a few years breaking records, qualifying for All-Star teams, and was a “living legend” in his town, Davis.

At 31 he still holds many records, some are 23 years old. He was part of many successful high school water polo and swim teams and then left Davis for a scholarship to the University of California.

We discuss:

  • What’s it like to be a successful youth sport athlete?
  • What does it take to be so successful?
