How the f**k did Victoria Garrick gain over 207K followers on Instagram by turning her passion for speaking on mental health into a full-time gig? Today, we’re talking with Victoria about her mental health journey that started with a TEDx Talk in 2017. Victoria played volleyball at the University of Southern California where she graduated in 2019. During her time at USC, she interned for the Fox Sports 1 show Speak For Yourself, and was also brought on as a Color Commentator for Men’s Volleyball games on the Trojans network. Victoria has done a TED Talk, started a podcast with over 100,000 downloads, and has spoken at over 30 schools. Today, Victoria is still the host of the wildly successful podcast, Real Pod, and the founder of the Hidden Opponent, an advocacy group that raises awareness for student-athlete mental health and addresses the stigma within sports culture. So how did Victoria build up her brand and succeed in her entrepreneurial endeavors? And how can her boyfriend Max Browne (former HTFDYGTJ? guest) be a better boyfriend?
