He was recruited to play football at Arizona State University where he set school records in both total offensive yards (8,711) and passing touchdowns (65). Jake went on to spend 10 seasons in the NFL and even made a Pro Bowl after being drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in 1997. After retiring, he moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, became a spokesperson for a CBD company, and hosted the Plummer Family Helluva Handball Bash. Today he is a nationally known speaker and Co-Founder of ReadyList Sports, a playbook education software company.
