This episode comes with a trigger warning, as we’ll be discussing sensitive topics surrounding the mental, emotional and physical impact of sexual assault. April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and it's our goal to not only raise awareness in a safe space, but remind anyone in this community that you aren't alone.

Olivia Jordan is a Miss USA, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model, Actress, Activist, Wife & Survivor. We chat about pageantry, mental health, overcoming an eating disorder, sexual assault,  testifying in court, healing, marriage, and motherhood. Her story is truly remarkable, and we admire her vulnerability in sharing with our audience.

Did you know approximately 1 in 3 women and 1 in 6 men experience sexual violence in their lifetime? This is more than a movement, it's a public health crisis and a human rights issue.  "Because sexual violence is a community problem that deserves a community response, there is a role for everyone to play. We know this because in October of 2017, 19 million people said ‘me too.’, changing the way we talk about sexual violence. And that was just the beginning. Reframing the conversation challenges the systems of oppression that endanger us all. Together, we have the power to shift culture and build safer futures." (via #MeTooMovement)

If you haven’t been personally affected, we ask for you to listen to this conversation with empathy and respect.
