I discovered Ling Chun’s work on instagram and fell in love with her use of color and materials in her ceramic work and wanted to know more. Ling was born in Hong Kong and came to the United States at the age of seventeen. She then earned her BFA in visual communication design and ceramics from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and her MFA in ceramics from Rhode Island School of Design. She has been an artist in residence at various long term and short term residencies which we talk about extensively. She is the founder of HIDDENFOODPROJECT, a public art project that runs across the country. In this episode we discuss identity, culture and her process.

In this episode, we discuss cultural identity, changing paths to become an artist, becoming a full-time artist, and artist residencies.
