Main event: Player Breakdown
Darrell: OLB, Noah Taylor, Virginia
Played in all 14 games and started 10 as a true freshman
Finished 2nd on the team in tackles for a loss (12½), sacks (6½). And interceptions (2)
Excellent size & length
Better in coverage than expected. Length and reach causes a lot of issues in passing lanes
Good pass rusher, but raw and unpolished

Eric: Jabril Cox, ILB LSU Tigers
2x FCS All-American, 3x FCS National Champion
Very athletic, played QB and WR in high school. Totaled 3,107 yards and 31 TDs his senior year. Also a 4-yr starter for the basketball team
He has good speed, which helps him in coverage. He can backpedal and prevent himself from getting turned around and losing his man
Takes good angles while going for the tackle and sometimes will go for the big hit. Could work on tackling and not going for the big hit and causing missed tackles
Ideal size for a LB (6’2” 234 lbs)
258 tackles, 32 TFL, 14 sacks, 6 INTs
Very durable. Played in every game in 2017-2019 (45 games)
LSU defensive coordinator Bo Pelini was head coach at FCS rival Youngstown St, so he seen what Cox can do

Dan: Chazz Surratt, LB, North Carolina
Former 5 star quarterback recruit, injury to wrist and elbow ended his 2018 season. Moved to linebacker in 2019.
Fast, athletic, good coverage skills, blitzing skills, pursuit, knifing through the line.
Needs some more experience, but talented and will benefit from senior season.
115 total tackles, 6.5 sacks, 15 TFL, 1 int, 1 fr, 1ff
6’3” 230 lbs
