“Culture is the process by which a person becomes

all that they were created capable of being.” ―Thomas Carlyle

There is always the nostalgia of what was, and some parents send their children back to their country of birth to learn their culture. This chapter addresses the pros and cons of such a move.

This discussion is not to discourage you from meeting your culture or passing it to

your children. It is geared towards highlighting the dangers of majoring in minors and failing to understand what is truly important.

Attempting to put a square peg in a round hole will cause more harm than good, and the blame will be placed squarely on the person who is attempting to carry out such an exercise.

You, the parent, know better than your children, and it is expected that you do what is in the best interest of the child.

Why would you want your children to go through the same challenges? Why would you want your children to acquire an accent that may not serve them well?
