[IIMKAN Careers] How to build a career in Product Management - a podcast by IIM Kozhikode Alumni Association

Product management is a relatively new career choice for Indian MBA graduates but it is probably the number one “switch-in” profile of choice for professionals in consulting, finance, or even marketing, who look at product management as a long term career choice after spending a few years in other profiles.   

In this freewheeling conversation the panel will try to cover:  

- What is product management & how do you find out if it’s really what you want to do?  

- How do you get into a career in product management? Can you start right out of campus? 

- What do I “major” in for a career in product management? Also, why is it not taught as a subject in most business schools?  

- For folks already in product management, how do I build myself up to a CXO role? What’s the difference between CPO vs CTO vs COO roles?  

- Product management post-pandemic? Which sectors will see more (or less) demand for PM roles? 

- And of course, “Does it pay?“
