Yuefeng Wang and Matthew Ballo (@YuefengWang2 / @west_cancer)Highlights:
-For uterine cancer with pelvic/abdomen metastasis, there is survival benefit associated with total abdominal hysterectomy, in addition to systemic therapy. However, we do not know if there is any role of total abdominal hysterectomy for patient with distant organ metastasis.

-In this retrospective, hypothesis-generating study including 3,200 uterine cancer patients with distant organ metastasis, total abdominal hysterectomy plus chemotherapy was associated with significant longer survival (19.8 vs 11.0 months, p<0.05) compared to patients had chemotherapy alone.
