Our brain is inclined to jump to conclusions. Remember: the simpler the explanation, the more accurate it usually is.
 
We will do well to react less, notice more, and put a check on our response. 
 
Podcast Tip: when we feel slighted or dismissed or corrected, and perhaps especially when we feel humiliated, a deep breath is warranted before reacting.
 
We can only make it worse if our assumptions are flawed because our feelings are bruised.
