Noah, the firstborn son of Lamech. Born when Lamech was 182 years old. Noah’s name means 'comfort' or ‘relief’ from all the consequences of the fall of Adam and Eve, to the growth of evil in the world that culminated with Angels interbreeding with human women.

When he was 480 years old, God told Noah to build an ark that would take 120 years to build, but also show God’s grace in allowing that same amount of time for humans to turn from their evil back to God.

The flood came and only Noah and his family - 8 total with sons and wives, survived. God vowed not to destroy all mankind again like this, and he put a rainbow in the sky as a sign of this promise to future generations.

Noah lives 350 years after the flood and died at the ripe old age of 950.
