Updated 12/2022. We give an overview of estrogen in the bodies of people assigned female at birth, including the different types of estrogen and where they are made in the body. Then we talk in depth about the process of estrogen metabolism, the role of the liver and the gut, and some tips to we can do to help this process.



This episode is not about endometriosis or managing endometriosis symptoms, but rather it's to share what Amy has been learning as she works with her naturopath to improve her estrogen metabolism as part of a protocol to help her histamine symptoms.
