Ep64: Interview: Talking about Gender and Inclusivity with Lori Johansson - a podcast by Amy and Brittany
from 2021-05-27T04:51:46
While endometriosis primarily affects people assigned female at birth (AFAB), not everyone who has endometriosis and is AFAB identifies as a woman. We speak with Lori Johansson about gender, gender identity, and ways to be more inclusive in our endometriosis advocacy. Lori is a nonbinary endo advocate with both endo and adeno, and as part of their position at public university, they facilitate a community engaged learning course that incorporates discussion around social identities, intersectionality, and counter narratives. Lori is dedicated to spreading awareness of endometriosis and creating supportive and inclusive spaces for those impacted by this disease.
