‘In the Bin’ is back with a bumper edition of the pod as we ruck our way through the domestic leagues, internationals & look ahead to the return of the Champions Cup!

Big Story Roundup

It’s been a scintillating week of rugby from Cape Town to Exeter, but to kick things off this week, we will be taking 10 minutes out for an HIA to discuss the mounting injury crisis in the Aviva Premiership and whether there will be any players left for next week’s games.

Premiership Review

In the Premiership’s weekend games, Jamie George gets hooked on tries as Sarries dismiss Wasps. Gloucester continue to ruin our predictions by giving the Saints hell and Exeter bring the Falcons back down to earth at Sandy Park.

Quins recover their home comforts and Sale away with the points. London Irish salvage a bonus point against Tigers & Wasps look a bit of a mess.

Pro 14 Recap

The glut of bonus points in the Pro 14 dried up slightly, but the excitement didn’t as Glasgow bit back for the race of men by becoming the first team to win away at the Cheetahs in a barnstormer of a game. Leinster edged out Munster in the big derby game of the weekend and the Southern Kings continue to play like peasants as they are trounced by Benneton Treviso.

We round up the other Welsh & Irish derby games as well as glossing over a dour game in Edinburgh.

Rugby Championship

In the southern hemisphere, NZ conclude their second, consecutive unbeaten Rugby Championship, but with a much closer than predicted victory over SA.

Champions Cup

And finally Champions Cup rugby is back! We will preview the opening fixtures, including games between sides that finished 5th and 10th in their respective leagues last year. Makes sense given the name of the competition doesn’t it….?
