The continental editions of the ‘In the Bin’ rugby podcast keep on rolling in, as we complete the second week of Champions Cup rugby.

Your hosts Andy & Paddy reflect on a truly outstanding week of European rugby, with plenty of big performances to talk about.

Big Story Roundup

There was much excitement about new teams challenging for the Champions Cup throne this season, particularly Glasgow & Scarlets. However, after two games is it the same old story? The Scottish & Italian teams, along with both Welsh regions, are still winless after round 2.

Champions Cup Recap

The Champions Cup delivered one of the finest weekends of rugby this year in its second week.

Exeter travelled to Montpellier ‘fully Armand’ and dangerous, and managed to evade the wrath of LWOR favourite Nadolo, to snatch a magnificent win on the go. Fans might recall this win in years to come, for the result–but also, that lovely pink shirts.

Once again Leinster underlined their European credentials, as Healy scored freely & Sexton marshalled the Irish province to a crucial away win.

Elsewhere, Tigers roared to maximum points against Castres and despite not racing out of the traps, Munster secured a vital victory at Thomond Park.

Third Bledisloe Cup Test

We also discuss events down under, where the Wallabies end the Bledisloe Cup annual series on a high note. Israel Folau inspired them to a long overdue win against New Zealand

‘In the Bin’ Regulars

An array of wonderful tries for us to choose from for ‘Try of the Week’. A monstrous collision is our unanimous pick for ‘Hit of the Week’.

Of course, we will also treat ourselves to a weekly rant in ‘Bin Juice’.
