Moral and character qualifications are defined for those who provide leadership for the local church. These provide a general description of godliness for which those in leadership are to model as examples to those they are leading. The inner attitude and motives will then become evident by the manner of life and conduct by what and how things are done and what are not done. These will be men who are firmly committed to the word of God as the authority for their personal lives and for the Church. That commitment means they will be learning God's Word to live the Word and then be teaching and leading by the Word.
