The character of the ungodly is contrasted with the character of God. The ultimate cause of the ungodly conduct is an inner attitude and character that has no fear of God. Rejecting God always results in a rejection of the Word of God without which is there is no foundation for living that will serve even the sinner well in the long run. Refusing to see sin for what it is results in sin increasing and rippling out in effects on others.--Turning to God and His Word will be the source of calm, peace, and the counsel to rightly respond to the circumstances at hand. His Word will always direct us in the way we should go and how we should carry on to best live our lives for God's glory and our good. He has made it known to us so we must run to it, do it, and hold on tight as we let Him lead in the light of His Word while yet living in a world of darkness.
