The mature believer has more flexibility as well as more responsibility in the application of biblical principles in the areas of liberty. Personal preferences are going to differ among believers so in the fellowship there must be a sensitivity to the consciences of the weaker, more immature believers to avoid doing what is offensive to their conscience. Concern for the spiritual well-being and spiritual growth of one another is expected by God in the lives of believers in the Church. Preferences, experiences from the past, as well as personal weaknesses as vulnerabilities must be given respect so as to not cause stumbling on the part of the weaker. Guidelines in areas such as food, clothing, and other practical matters that have liberties are discussed.-Also following the message is a discussion concerning submission and obedience to civil government in the present with a consideration of revolution in the history of the founding of the United States.
