Crucial for the believer to live godly is to live conscious of the return of Christ at any moment. This gives strength in the trying times and motivation to live pleasing to Him all the time and everywhere. The provision made by the salvation God has provided includes the power and transforming ministry of the Holy Spirit to guide and enable right living in all circumstances. The danger for all believers to be humbly aware of is the potential to become distracted and preoccupied by the issues of ordinary life and be caught off guard and unprepared. Getting drawn into the things of the world, the ways of the world, and the intentions of the world will lead one away from the Lord and often the light of HIs word and into the realm of the darkness of the world. That being a danger for the believer and in effect dims the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world desperately in need of God's light.
