Prayer While Suffering God's Discipline - a podcast by Gil Rugh

The cry of the soul to the one bringing the discipline, the one who was sinned against, and the one who alone comforts the soul, is the Lord of heaven and earth. The Lord does not let His children drift away in the tide of sin when swept up but brings about the consequences necessary for repentance and correction. God's discipline is not destruction but for training in righteousness. The discipline can be physical and, or emotional suffering, spiritual despair and abandonment by family and friends heightens the intensity of the pain. Even then, knowing the circumstances are because of sin, God is the one to be called out to for help in the time of need. Much is to be learned as well by those who are the friends and family in knowing what the first responsibility is to know how to rightly respond in a wise, godly, and biblical way with restoration of the fallen one the goal.
