There is no such thing as a believer in Jesus Christ who, having received the benefits of salvation that God says He gives, to not begin living a new life. Sanctification is the aspect of salvation that follows justification and while justification is a one time declaration by God, sanctification is a process of spiritual growth and maturity leading up to the culmination of salvation which is glorification. The new life lived by the believer is empowered and enabled by the Holy Spirit of God during which their will be evidence, biblically described as fruit and good works. -There is confusion in the church concerning the sanctification process concerning what it is and what it is not. These are discussed looking at the influence of different teachings and where they conflict with the Scriptures.
