Do I need an ISBN? - a podcast by Anthony Coe

The International Standard Book Number better known as the ISBN. If you don’t know what an ISBN is, look at the back of a book you have. You will see a barcode. It may or may not say ISBN. You can sell your book without an ISBN. However, you will need it if you want to make it available to major retailers and international distributors. For example, the UK Book Repositories at one time required me to send in a request to be listed to each of the repositories. Now books are listed only if they have an ISBN and are catalog in the Bowker’s and Nielsen’s directories.
