Triple premiership player and three-time All Australian Justin Leppitsch joins Shane Crawford and Nick Quinn on the latest episode of Inside 50, chatting about a triumphant and tumultuous football career that sees him out of the game for the first time in 27 years. He opens up on the Brisbane Bears and Fitzroy Lions merger, his first game as a backman against a red-hot Tony Lockett, and being linked to the Hawthorn Hawks after the newly formed Brisbane Lions slumped in their first year of their existence. Leppitsch also discusses the “presence” that ‘Lethal’ Leigh Matthews brought to the club at the start of the 1999 season, and the masterstrokes the legendary coach made en route to a three-peat with Brisbane. After coaching the Brisbane Lions from 2013 to 2016, media speculation has linked Leppitsch to the Collingwood Magpies job. The boys ask him what he sees in his future. ------- For our Victorian listeners, make sure you are listening for our code word each week!
