Pat Critchley is a man who needs very little introduction. As a player he represented Portlaoise and Laois with distinction. He loves Portlaoise. 14 Laois Championship medals, 7 hurling&7 football, 3 Leinster Club football titles and the Holy Grail in 1983 when The Town won the all-Ireland club football title. In 1985 he created history by becoming the first and only Laois man to ever win an All-Star hurling award. He’s also a recipient of the Leinster GAA Hall of Fame award for his achievements. But coaching is where he excels since his playing days ended.
