In this episode, Emilie’s guest is Linxiao (Lin) Yu, PhD. Lin shares his experiences in the inspection and mechanical-integrity fields and his expertise in advanced NDT technology development and deployment.

With BP since 2012, Lin is the company’s expert in advanced inspection technologies, providing strategic guidance as well as direct technical support to its global business. Previously, he managed Caterpillar Inc.’s corporate NDT program for its multiple manufacturing facilities. He has a PhD from Iowa State University in materials science and engineering, holds multiple ASNT Level III certifications, and is a member of ASNT committees and an industrial advisor to the ASME Robotics for Inspection and Maintenance program.
