Pastor Wilson grew up as a missionary kid in Cairo, Egypt. Later in life, he and his family went as missionaries to West Africa and then to Russia. Currently, Pastor Wilson is serving as the president of the General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. 

In this interview with Ronald Kuhn, associate director at the Institute of World Mission, Pastor Wilson talks about how growing up in a different part of the world shaped his view on how to relate to people, how to understand cultures and how to respect different approaches to life. He also shares about the experience of parenting missionary children and gives advice and encouragement to Adventist missionaries.
