Rolling Up Our Sleeves - a podcast by Interfaith-ish
from 2020-03-05T22:42:57
Baptist and Bahá’í neighbors share stories of spiritual rebellion and why martial arts is about community defense.
As young men, Welton Bonner, pastor of Greater Love Church, and ‘Abdu’l-Karim Ewing-Boyd, a member of the DC Bahá’í community, both strayed from their families' religious upbringing - but had profound life experiences that reaffirmed their faith convictions.
Today, each of them are strongly committed to building spaces for youth to explore creative expression and education.
Through our conversation, we examine efforts to reduce gun violence in DC, the role of a pastor in the community, and the Bahá'í concept of "progressive revelation."
