This week, we focus on a story you may have missed due to the pandemic: the recent attack on Sikh worshippers in Afghanistan, which left 25 dead.

To discuss the story and a local community response, I spoke with Priscilla Martinez, of the Nations and Tribes in Harmony Foundation, and Adarsh Khalsa, of the Raj Khalsa Sikh Gurdwara. These longtime collaborators have worked together many times to stand up for religious freedom and inter-religious solidarity in times of tragedy, and share an obvious love and admiration for one another.

We also hear learn how Adarsh found Sikhism after growing up in a nonreligious Jewish family in Brooklyn, and how Priscilla - who had a strong Catholic upbringing in Texas - was attracted to Islam.
