Speaking with a fellow country-girl, Jacqui welcomes forensic accountant Kellie Badge for a chat and then debriefs with Ush. Kellie Badge is a Director of Forensic Solutions Litigation Support and specialises in providing expert accounting reports to assist in settling disputes. Kellie is often preparing valuations of businesses operated by Husbands and Wives that are divorcing so that they have an independent opinion of the value of the business when determining the worth of their assets that need to be divided between them. Business valuations also help directors and shareholders that are arguing so that they can negotiate the value of the shares or interest of the exiting shareholder. Where businesses or individuals suffer a loss due to an event such as a fire in the kitchen of a restaurant business or a person contracting an asbestos related disease, Kellie is engaged to quantify the value of the loss suffered by the business or individual.
Kellie moved to Melbourne from country Victoria to complete her bachelor of commerce degree and has taken a journey through various disciplines of accounting in mid tier, Big 4 and boutique accounting firms, with a short detour into commonwealth proceeds of crime matters. After furthering her studies with a Masters of Forensic Accounting, Kellie entered the forensic accounting field 14 years ago and during the COVID lock down period established a new firm Forensic Solutions Litigation Support with her business partner David.
