Cian O'Boyle: A Salmon Obsession - a podcast by LastCast Media

Despite the current doom and gloom, the one thing you can’t fault salmon anglers for –and especially younger salmon anglers – is their enthusiasm for the sport.

Johnny Casey and Yamil Turcuman were two recent guests whose love of salmon was infectious and likewise, this week’s guest, Cian O’Boyle, who fishes on the Moy and Owenmore regularly throughout the season and is no stranger to landing salmon judging by his videos on social media, joins us on this week’s show.

Cian tells us about his fishing exploits as well as some of his tips for consistent catches, plus he has some thoughts on getting young people into the sport as well.

A youths event worth highlighting is taking place on 16th August and it is being run by the East Mayo Anglers Association who want all interested boys and girls to come along to try out salmon and trout fishing.  Find out more at eastmayoanglers.com.
