Shane Lowry’s victory at the DP World Tour’s flagship event at Wentworth will live long in the memory as he got the better of Rory McIlroy down the stretch to claim another mega win. Not to be outdone and clearly inspired, Lowry’s great friend Pádraig Harrington picked up his hat-trick of PGA Champions Tour wins on Sunday night while a weekend of unprecedented celebrations began with Stuart Grehan claiming a maiden EuroPro win after a seven-hole epic playoff battle against Ballymena’s Dermot McElroy.
