Episode 79–The Truman Show - a podcast by Scott and Collin

Here are some of the movies that came out in 1998: Saving Private Ryan, Shakespeare in Love, There's Something About Mary, The Big Lebowski, Rushmore, A Bugs Life.  All movies you would probably remember more than The Truman Show.  But I don't think any of those films is as relevant in 2017 as The Truman Show: people living out there lives on and through the filter of television.  Collin knew nothing about this movie, and so it was a treat for me to watch him figuring out what was going on along the way.  This movie preceded Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and was the first indication that Jim Carrey had real depth as a actor.Mental Floss - 15 Truths About The Truman Show
