Episode 98–Rope (1948) - a podcast by Scott and Collin

Hitchcock dismissed it as a"stunt;"Jimmy Stewart didn't like it because he felt he was miscast, and the film was kept out of circulation for 30 years along with Rear Window and a 3 other Hitchcock movies. A friend introduced me to Rope in high school, and I was immediately taken with its"single take"audacity. The story takes a back seat to the technical panache, but its largely due to the technique that generates the films considerable tension.  It's Collin's second Hitchcock movie, and given his response I don't think it will be his last.
