Even if you’re already committed to flying being your future career, I highly recommend completing what’s called a Discovery Flight before you sign up for lessons with your school. Why? You’ll get a feel for how the instructors at your potential school operate, you’ll see the condition of their aircraft, and you’ll be able to sense if this is the right school for you…or not. Plus, if you sign up for lessons after a Discovery Flight, many schools will give you a credit toward your lessons. Above all else, it’s kind of a life hack.
