N.C. State Auditor Beth Wood has 15 years of auditing experience. She served in the State Auditor's Office for more than a decade and previously served in the State Treasurer's Office. She is the first woman elected to the position of State Auditor in North Carolina. During her tenure in the State Auditor's Office, Wood was instrumental in bringing the state's compliance supplements up to federal standards, ensuring that federal grants are being used as intended.
