Crappies are King during the late ice periods of March and April for many anglers across the midwest. In states such as Minnesota and Wisconsin the Walleye and Pike seasons close down while there is still fishable ice on the lakes. For so many anglers Crappies become the most sought after species.

In the 60th edition of the JMO Podcast our Guest Tony Mariotti gives a lesson on how and why we should be targeting Crappies this time of year. Tony is located in the heart of Crappie country fishing lakes throughout ottertail/Becker Counties in Minnesota. Tony is a panfish guru and we are lucky to have him on this week's podcast.
