The Secrets of Porsche 924 Italian POV | Johnny's Garage - a podcast by Johnny Garage

Porsche needed an entry-level car after the stop of 914 models. Porsche 924 begins as a joint production between Volkswagen and Porsche but became a Porsche project and production: only the 2.0L engine derived by Audi 100 and Volkswagen LT van was Volkswagen for the basement but the head was totally engineered by Porsche to increase performance. This model is significant for Transaxle transmission and for the aerodynamic body that will begin the family of 944 and 968 and even the 928 series.
