:: ::

In this special 2-part episode, we're featuring the artists Dots+Loops commissioned to create new works for Dots+Loops NONSTOP 2021. In the first half, Connor chats with Dots+Loops inaugural Composition Fellow Oliver Brown about how his dreams of being an astronaut lead him to experimental art, some morally-questionable advertising technology, and his new piece "Alexa, Write Me Some Music". In the second half, Connor chats with Brisbane artistic duo Timothy Tate and Zenobia Frost, exploring the weird world of indie video game Kentucky Route Zero, the trials and tribulations of working with obsolete technologies, and their new immersive installation "Static Mediations".

Dots+Loops is based on Jagera and Turrbal land, on which we live, work and create. We respectfully acknowledge the Jagera and Turrbal people as the first inhabitants, custodians and traditional owners, pay respects to elders past, present and emerging, and recognise the important ongoing contributions our First Nations communities make to our music and arts scenes. This always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.

This project is supported by Queensland Government through Arts Queensland; Creative Partnerships Australia through the Australian Cultural Fund; and our partners Cre8tive Nations, Simply for Strings, and the University of Queensland School of Music.
