Huge win for Hamilton to sieze the lead on the WCC and impressive showing by Racing Point. Is Ferrari back? Below is the outline of what was discussed.

        • 1-4 in qualifying if counting the Racing Points


        • Works Mercedes cars 8 tenths up on next nearest competitors


        • During the race Ham pulls out to insurmountable lead right away


        • Bottas jumps the start, fights way back


        • First and third place finish


        • Can anyone beat them?





      • Red Bull
        • All RB cars had problems all weekend


        • Highest qualifier was Max at 7th on a track they were expected to dominate


        • George Russell defending Albon


        • Max crashing the car prior to the race 


        • Bottas never caught Max who finished 2nd





      • Racing Point
        • RP being protested again, Szafnaur saying he has plenty of evidence showing it is a legal car


        • 3 and 4 qualy finishes after rapid practices showing its not just the engine that is improved


        • Per Toto Wolff: “Racing point faster than Mercedes through some corners”


        • Bad start to the race putting them in situation where they had to overtake and not just rely on the car


        • Stroll finishes 4th Perez 7th





      • Ferrari
        • Qualify 5th and 6th, 1 full second behind the Merc works cars


        • Strong starts from both ferraris with the Bottas jump start


        • Leclerc pits first onto softs, Vettel calls for mediums


        • Vettel passes Leclerc. Leclerc then leads a train of cars stuck behind him until he pits


        • Leclerc battles with Albon and Norris


        • Vettel finishes 6th but lapped by Ham





      • McLaren
        • Disappointing session after action packed first two weeks


        • Sainz 9th place overall and Norris 13th


        • Norris and Leclerc battle





      • Renault
        • Non-descript weekend.


        • Ricciardo finishes 8th in a car that appears to be absolutely nowhere compared to the others.





      • Haas
        • Qualified 16th and 18th completely at the back of the grid


        • Made themselves rockstars by pitting prior to the race start


        • Bogus penalty did not affect them


        • Grosjean receives front end damage while getting passed by Albon


        • KMag literally told to avoid everyone





      • Alfa Romeo
        • Season going to be really ugly for them


        • Kimi penalty


        • Kimi qualifies last but finishes 15th





      • Alpha Tauri
        • Honda/RB problems all weekend long especially Gasly


        • Evident in qualifying but Gasly managed to finish 10th there. 


        • Daniil Kvyat asks to pit but does not get a response


        • Pierre Gasly retires with his car on fire





      • Williams
        • Qualifying 12th and 15th


        • Latifi insane start to get him to 10th


        • Unsafe release into Carlos Sainz that causes a puncture effectively ending race (5 laps down)
